i went back and forth on wheather or not i should blog about this....then i thought..this is a blog...where you are suppose to blog about what is on your mind. so, i decided to write a little about a boy i once new...who has now passed away. i grew up in a great church where everyone knew everybody by their first name. we ate together...we prayed together...we had lots of crazy fun times together. todd and cindy davis were more than just regular youth sponsors and sunday school teachers. they were friends of the family...they had two adorable boys...ben and nick. they were just little kids at that time. probably the age of my girls now. todd and cindy were awsome. especially while playing softball. they were so fun to be around...and their boys were just as fun. well...nick davis, their youngest son, died yesterday. it was a sad and tragic accident. he was riding on his motorcycle, before school, doing some tricks. the way i heard it was that he was doing a wheely, flipped over, broke his neck and died. the news anchor on channel 11 said he was doing some tricks, hit a parked car, and died. either way it is very sad.
i can't even imagine losing a child. he was a senior..handsome...good kid....and now gone?? i feel so sorry for cindy and her family. when i think about it, it makes my stomach turn. it is hard not to think about it. nick keeps popping up in my mind. cindy keeps popping up in my mind. the agony...the greif...the hole in her heart. i can't help but put myself in her place. what kind of reaction would i have?? can you imagine...knowing your son was on his way to school...you go on about your day..maybe go to work. then just hours later, get a call saying your child is dead. one moment your life is great...the next moment your world falls completely apart. so tragic. so sudden. no preparation. what was the last thing you said to them?
makes you want to hug your kids tighter...longer...deeper. makes you want to tell them you love them, just one more time. makes you wonder what kind of relationship they have with jesus. makes you want to talk with them again about their Lord and Savior. makes you want to get down on your knees and thank him over and over for giving you one more day with your own kids.
todd and cindy....i am deeply sorry for your loss. it is so hard to believe, yet so real. i will be praying for you...for comfort, understanding and peace.
R.I.P.

Hey girl, I'll be praying for you too. I've been struggling off and on with baby Cora myself. Just too unbelievable for words. Makes you hurt down deep, and completely makes you want to hang on to your babies longer. Smell them, hear them, feel them. I'm really sad for you and them. Hang in there...
