this penguin parade was the cutest thing. pretty much the whole month of january peyton's class studied penguins to get ready for this day. you could choose to be any penguin you wanted. i think there is like 8 or so different kinds of penguins. isn't that crazy. i thought there was like 3 different kinds. anyways....peyton picked little blue penguin. she did all kinds of research on it. she loved it. she would come home from school soo excited....telling me about what she found out about her penguin. at the end of the research they had a penguin parade. all first grade classes made their costumes and the whole school came out to watch them waddle around. seriously...all 6 grades lined the walls of the school. the school is set up like a circle. so they started at first grade hall and walked all the way around back to where they started. as soon as they started everyone started clapping and banging on the floor. they were like rock stars :) then after that the parents look at the folder that had all the information they collected. after that the kids took the parents to the computer lab and showed us the powerpoint presentation they made. peyton's was amazing. she did all of it. the pics...the font and colors....the writings and information. i was sooo impressed. it was such a cool and fun day.
i am soo proud of her :)
