Our Holiday Season

our christmas season flew by....as i am sure everyones did. we traveled ALOT this time. but it was worth it cause we had a great time seeing family and friends. now it is 2009 and i am getting somewhat back on track. soooo.....here is the update. we went to see the trains at northpark with my mom and dad. the kids had a blast. the whole thing was soo cool. it was amazing how they could get all those trains to go round and round without crashing :) then we came back to my house to open presents with my parents and jaycee. the next day was christmas morning. we had a great christmas. the girls and preston loved all the new toys and clothes they got. santa brought them an awesome doll house and a trampoline. later that day we went out to my aunt and uncle's house for christmas with my side of the family. the girls love to play with their cousins. the next day we headed for oklahoma to have christmas with matt's side of the family. everyone got lots of cool stuff and the girls and preston had lots of time to play with their other set of cousins. :) it is the cutest thing to see mckenna and dylan play. they are like two peas in a pod. they get along as if they are around each other all the time. oh, and i got a robot vaccum. i named her roise. she is GREAT! after that we were back at home for a couple of days, then headed back to oklahoma to see are good friends and spend new year's with them. we have spent almost every new year's with them since 1999! they needed a fence put up, so matt and jeremy did that the whole time we were there. it was alot of fun. thanks jenn for putting up with us for so long :) on the way home peyton was telling me how cool it would be if we lived with shaland, that way they could play all the time. jeremy and jennifer have a girl who is several months younger than peyton and a lil boy who is just days younger than preston. this is cooper, preston and jonah. we had fun, but i am glad to be back in texas :) before heading home we made a stop at matt's parents house for his mom's 50th surprise party. it was great. her reaction coming through the door was hilarious!!! finally we were back on the road to come home. we were about 2 hours into the trip, the girls were quietly watching a movie, preston had just fallen asleep, then all of a sudden i hear this weird noise. matt rolls down the window to hear the sound of air shooting out of our tire. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT!!! ANOTHER FLAT!!! this is the picture of the big slit in our tire. don't know how that happened. CRAZY

we had one on the way home from oklahoma back in october. so we pull over. there is a huge cut in the side of the tire. it was crazy. it's about 8'oclock. we had to unload all our stuff to get to the spare. preston of course wakes up. after about 30 min. we are back on the road. preston screamed pretty much the rest of the way. we got home a little after 10. VERY LONG TRIP HOME. so, that about raps up our holiday season. good times :)
